Anhelo

I have never heard this word before this class. To me it means yearning for something that resonates deeply with an individual. I yearn for many things, and as I reflected on the piece that I would create for this phrase, I traced back a few steps. I yearn to be with my family, but in the back of my mind, I have always felt that there has been a cultural separation between my family and myself that keeps me from relating with them. I have tried to overcome these barriers before, but Im to americanized, and so I feel lost sometimes, but I yearn for a family that I could relate to culturally.
